Workshops
An experienced and multi-award-winning playwright, author, poet, and essayist; as well as a tenured professor of English and Communications, Mwalim offers a variety of workshops and is available for artist/writer-in-residence projects to educational and community institutions and organizations including upper grade high school levels, colleges, universities, arts organizations, and continuing education programs.
A life-long social justice organizer, and Black arts and cultural scholar, Mwalim offers a range of workshops and presentations related to the exploration of the historic and present impacts of systemic racism, and traditional approaches of marginalized people and communities to survive and even thrive in this environment.
Offerings:
All workshops can be designed as a single presentation or custom designed as a residency (3 Days to 12 Weeks).
